Dark Matter || Book Review

I finally read got around to reading this!! Though I was a little disappointed, I still enjoyed it. The idea behind multiverses is fascinating. I love how the author took this and made a fun, entertaining, thrilling sic-fi novel. However, I just don't feel it lived up to all the hype. I think because I didn't think it was extremely original. 

The author is currently writing the screenplay which is exciting! I think this will make an amazing film! I am curious as to who will be cast!

If you have been interested in reading this I would recommend! I gave it 3/5 on goodreads.

The Roanoke Girl || Book Review

The Roanoke Girls is a disturbing depiction of family legacy and the lasting effects of a troubled childhood. I really enjoyed this dark tale as it followed Lane and the reveal of the many dark and twisted secrets kept in her family. 

If you are looking for a dark and well-written mystery, I definitely recommend this. Not only does it keep you guessing, Amy Engel has a way of shedding light on the difficulties of family and how a dark past never really leaves you. 

Note: This book is not for the faint hearted but I loved it!

Human Acts by Han Kang

Human acts was in one word devastating. I was so eager to read another Han Kang book and boy...i wasn't ready.

If you are willing to read about the horror humans can commit then this is the book for you. It truly shows just how dark humanity can be. Kang has a way with words and leaves you thinking about her work for days. This novel only confirmed how much I enjoy her writing, no matter how strange and dark her topics may be.

I defiantly recommend if you are looking for something dark, unique, yet beautiful.
