There are basically three different stories told and they all interconnect. Its shows the background of a criminal, the dark side of the police force, and the problems of troubled youth.
I don't want to give away any spoilers so it's hard to say much about the movie. Also, the music is amazing. It went very well with all of the scenes. Of course, I am someone who notices those type of things. The only annoying bit was the length, which was about 2 hours and 20 minutes. However, they cover a lot plot and tell an amazing story. I also thought it was very authentic. There are some chase scenes and robberies but they weren't done in the typical Hollywood fashion.
Overall, I give it 4.8/5! I highly recommend it if you're a fan of independent films. If you're not, I still say give it a chance!
