My Carry-On Essentials

Today, I am on my way to my mom's for winter break! I love going to the city, especially now that it's snowing there!

But, before I can leave, I have to pack for the flight. As a frequent flyer, I like to think I have mastered exactly what I need to pack for my carry-on! (my suitcase on the other hand is whole different story).

Here, I laid out what is in my bag. Now I carry a backpack as my carry-on because as a college student, I always seem to have to haul lots of books around (right now it's MCAT books). 

My essentials are:

1. My  "creative" journal. This is more for sketching or writing down any ideas or thoughts that come to me. 

2. I always bring a book with me! Currently, I am reading Game of Thrones. 

3. Passport (of course!)

4. Phone charger. This is definitely an essential. You do not want to pack your cell phone charger in your checked in bag! Trust me, you do not want to be in a situation where you plane is delayed or cancelled and you can't call anyone because your phone is dead. And we all know how the iOS7 update sucks the life out of your battery.

5. Cardigan.

6. Vaseline or chapstick!

7. Headphones and iPod. 

8. Gum. I always have some so my ears will pop on the plane. 

9. Backup contacts, solution, and glasses! 

I also buy a coffee before I get on the plane...not an essential. I just love coffee :)
