Hello!!!!! It has been ages since I've put up a blog post!
I'm so sorry. I'm not going to go into details and excuses as to why I've been gone...let's just move on!
Also, thank you to my new followers!! I love you all so much :)
I thought since I've been gone, I would make a "Current Obsessions" post. I tend to get obsessed when I find something I love (don't we all?), so I thought I would share with you what I'm loving! Maybe you will find a new love too :)
1. EASY COOKING: I am not on the meal plan at school and I can not cook, but recently I have been trying to break into the cooking business. These simple recipes are a life-saver! These banana and egg pancakes are delicious and so easy to make!
2. SWING AND BLUES: The Nat King Cole station on pandora is the perfect station to play in the morning. It's calming but just upbeat enough to give you energy for the rest of day. I love this era of music! Everyone's voice is so beautiful and the songs make me feel like I'm in disney movie! Sounds silly but I love it!
3. GIRLS: This show is SO GOOD. I can't even begin to explain how much I'm in love with this show. It depicts the life of four girls who just graduated college and moved to New York to follow their dreams. It is funny and crazy but realistic and relatable. If you are a twenty-something who is in or about to be in the "real world" (like me!) you will love this show.
Just watch it! Its perfect!
4. THE NEW YORK TIMES: I go through stages where I read the news everyday or I don't at all. Lately, I've been reading The New York Times and I love it! I can quickly scan the headlines to get the gist of what's happening in the US, but mainly I read it because they have articles about my other interests, like science and medicine, global news, and movie reviews. As a soon-to-be-college graduate I think it's time for me have a better grasp on what's going on around me.
5. TED TALKS: I just started watching these on Netflix. They are so inspiring and thought-provoking! I can find a talk on any subject and learn something new! If you haven't watched these I highly suggest it. You will walk away feeling like you can do anything. My favorite talk that I've seen so far is about how we have a culture of expecting doctors to be perfect. The speaker is doctor himself and his talk is brilliant and really changed the way I view the medical field. It's on Youtube so I'll link it if you are interested :)
What are some of your current obsessions?
